Planning an evening garden event route
Route lighting, cable runs, temporary parking and guest movement checks for garden parties, marquees and evening events.
Walk the route after sunset, before guests do
Do the final check at the time the event will actually run. A route that feels obvious at 5pm can become confusing once people arrive, doors open and temporary lighting changes the shadows.
Cables, generators and pinch points
Keep power runs away from the main walking line. If a crossing is unavoidable, protect it and make the change in surface obvious.
Temporary parking on grass
Grass parking needs simple direction, edge awareness and a clear return route to the entrance. Low light plus wet grass is where confusion usually starts.
